What began as a personal passion for exploration has grown into a trusted advisory for expedition cruises, luxury ocean and river voyages, African safaris, and privately curated land itineraries. Every journey is personally assembled by founder Nicci Grotefendt around the individual traveler — their personality, communication style, values, and vision for the trip.

Founder & Lead Expedition Specialist
Nicci Grotefendt has personally explored the Galápagos and continues to expand her firsthand expedition portfolio. Through her Aurora Expeditions Preferred Partner credential and CLIA accreditation, she designs polar, river, and expedition itineraries for clients to Antarctica, the Norwegian fjords, and the world's most sought-after destinations — drawing on decades of industry relationships, ship-by-ship knowledge, and trusted operator partnerships.
Nicci's approach is deeply personal. She privately curates every itinerary, listening to what the trip is actually about, understanding your travel style, and matching you with the perfect vessel, route, and cabin. Her industry relationships mean access to preferred pricing, cabin selection, and insider knowledge that comes from genuine partnership.

Swimming with Whale Sharks in Mexico
On a private excursion in Mexico, Nicci swam within inches of whale sharks — among the largest fish in the ocean.
